In line with its long-term development vision and the aspiration to meet international and national quality criteria, at the beginning of April 2002 the Institute took one of its key strategic steps by submitting an application for the first accreditation of its Laboratory Sector in accordance with the JUS ISO/IEC 17025:2001 standard to the Yugoslav Accreditation Body (JUAT).
This marked the beginning of a process that represented the achievement of one of the Institute’s most important long-term goals – the official recognition of the competence of its laboratory operations.
Today, the Laboratory for Biotechnological Development and Control of Food Safety and Quality represents a strong pillar of scientific and professional excellence.
The Laboratory for Biotechnological Research and Control of Food Safety and Quality is accredited in accordance with the SRPS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard for 370 testing methods, including 11 sampling methods covering food, animal feed, swabs from surfaces in contact with food, as well as carcasses of slaughtered animals.
A surveillance assessment of the Laboratory is currently underway, and we proudly share a glimpse of the working atmosphere in which knowledge, experience, and dedication are confirmed daily through practice.
