The Department was established as reponse to the specific requirements of the Institute’s clients, as well as food exporters, importers, and inspection authorities regarding the quality, safety, and verification of the authenticity of certain types of food. This primarily includes milk and dairy products, but also honey, chocolate, and other food products.
At the time of its establishment, the main task of the Department of Instrumental Chemistry was the development of new analytical methods at the request of clients and regulatory bodies in the food sector, to contribute to a more comprehensive verification of the quality, safety, and authenticity of food produced and marketed in our country, exported to the countries of the region and the EU, or imported into Serbia for large retail chains.
At the time of its establishment, the Department had 13 accredited methods divided into four sub-disciplines.
Accredited methods in this period included:
-
