AREA OF SCIENTIFIC INTEREST

Microbiological safety of food and animal feed, through the concept of “farm to table” approach and risk assessment of pathogenic microorganisms to human health through the LISA concept. Creating a generic model for prerequisite programs (GMP/GHP) and HACCP plans in the meat industry.

Development, validation, verification, and implementation of methods in the microbiological work in order to investigate the microbiological, mycological and mycotoxicological contamination of food and animal feed, assessment of residues, histamines, of contaminants originating from the environment, the effect of diet on the safety and quality, with the implementation of European and national regulations.
