Master’s and Magister Theses (1955–2025)

Over the decades, numerous researchers and associates have completed their master’s and magister studies in cooperation with the Institute, contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge in the fields of food technology, veterinary medicine, chemistry, biochemistry, and environmental protection.

1974

  • Aurelija Spirić, MSc – defended her magister thesis “Investigation of the Association Constants of Chloroform with Organic Solvents Using Nuclear Magnetic Resonance” at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, University of Belgrade (Department of Physical Chemistry), obtaining the academic title Master of Physical-Chemical Sciences.

  • Ljubica Bastić-Golubović, MSc – defended her magister thesis at the Faculty of Technology and Metallurgy, University of Belgrade, and obtained the academic title Master of Technical Sciences.

1986

  • Tadija Stamenković, MSc – defended the thesis “Influence of Pig Categories and Curing Procedures on Certain Quality Properties of Meat Products of the ‘Užice Prosciutto’ Type” at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Agricultural Sciences.

1990

  • Snežana Saičić, MSc – defended the thesis “Investigation of Biochemical Changes in Lipids of Animal Origin” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Chemical Sciences.

1993

  • Mary Puškarica, MSc – defended the thesis “Investigation of the Possibility of Detecting Chloramphenicol Residues in Meat Using Microbiological Methods” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Veterinary Sciences.

1997

  • Radivoj Petronijević, MSc – defended the thesis “A Kinetic Method for the Determination of Trace Amounts of Selenium” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Chemical Sciences.

1999

  • Mirjana Milanović Stevanović, MSc – defended the thesis “Investigation of the Influence of Domestic Spices on Major Changes in Raw Sausages During Ripening and Drying” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Veterinary Sciences.

2000

  • Nenad Parunović, MSc – defended the thesis “Investigation of the Relationship Between Skatole Content in Fat Tissue and the Organoleptic Evaluation of Meat Products from Young Boars” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade.

  • Dragica Karan, MSc – defended the thesis “Influence of Selected Domestic Spices on the Shelf Life and Quality of Frankfurters” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade.

  • Slobodan Lilić, MSc – defended the thesis “Major Factors Affecting the Shelf Life and Quality of Dried Pork” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade.

2002

  • Biljana Dević, MSc – defended the thesis “Hygienic Safety and Quality of Pork and Beef from Animals with Enlarged Thyroid Glands” at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Skopje, obtaining the academic title Master of Agricultural Sciences.

  • Tatjana Radičević, MSc – defended the thesis “Biochemical Characterization of Myofibrillar Proteins of Bighead Carp (Aristichthys nobilis Richardson) Tissue Relevant to Product Quality” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Biochemical Sciences.

2003

  • Aleksandra Stjepanović, MSc – obtained the academic title Master of Biotechnical Sciences.

2004

  • Jasna Đinović Stojanović, MSc – defended the thesis “Influence of the ‘Kostolac’ Thermal Power Plant Ash Disposal Site on the Quality of Surrounding Wastewater, Groundwater and Surface Waters” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Chemical Sciences.

2005

  • Ivan Nastasijević, MSc – defended the thesis “Effect of Peroxyacetic Acid on the Lipid Component of Bacterial Spores and Contribution to the Standardization of Efficiency Testing” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Biochemical Sciences.

  • Vesna Đorđević, MSc – defended the thesis “Comparative Evaluation of Selected Analytical Methods for Assessing Trout Freshness” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Veterinary Sciences.

  • Slavica Vesković Moračanin, MSc – defended the thesis “Influence of Bacteriocins Isolated from Leuconostoc mesenteroides E131 and Lactobacillus sakei I154 on Listeria monocytogenes During the Production of Sremska Sausage” at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Biotechnical Sciences (Food Technology – Technological Microbiology).

2006

  • Dragan Milićević, MSc – defended the thesis “Presence of Ochratoxin A Residues in Blood Plasma, Liver and Kidneys of Slaughtered Pigs” at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Novi Sad, obtaining the academic title Master of Agricultural Sciences.

  • Danijela Vranić, MSc – defended the thesis “Comparative Analysis of the Antioxidative System in Pigs and Cattle” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Biochemical Sciences.

2007

  • Branko Velebit, MSc – defended the thesis “Validation of Multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction for Detection and Identification of Salmonella Species” at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Veterinary Sciences.

  • Zoran Petrović, MSc – defended the thesis “Game Animal Tissues as Bioindicators of Environmental Pollution by Heavy Metals” at the University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Environmental Protection Sciences.

2008

  • Dejana Trbović, MSc – defended the thesis “Laboratory Proficiency Testing – Determination of Trace Elements in Water” at the Faculty of Chemistry, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Chemical Sciences.

  • Brankica Lakićević, MSc – defended the thesis “Molecular Epidemiological Analysis of the Presence of Listeria monocytogenes in the Food Preparation Process” at the Faculty of Biology, University of Belgrade, obtaining the academic title Master of Biological Sciences.

  • Čaba Silađi, MSc – defended the thesis “Optimization of the Recirculating Flow Ratio in the Medium for Xanthan Production Based on Winery Wastewater” at the Faculty of Technology, University of Novi Sad.
